‘The Winds of Winter’: 'Game of Thrones' Author George R.R. Martin has declared that he will finish 'The Winds of Winter' before the premiere of 'Game of Thrones' Season 7

"Game of Thrones" author is sick of people asking the release date of "The Winds of Winter." During an interview, he joking said that he would send his minions after people if they ask him about the "Winds of Winter."

Martin was at the Sasquan science-fiction convention, Spokane and during the Q&A session was asked about if "The Winds of Winter" would be released before HBO airs "Game of Thrones" Season 6 episodes.

"Don't ask me when the book is going to be done - I'll ask my minions to lop your head off," Martin said in a humorous way (via Geek Wire).

"The Winds of Winter" will not be released in 2015, reported Guardian in January this year. Speculations are on that Martin may finish the book with the release date of "Game of Thrones" Season 6. However, many believe that Martin has taken close to two years to finish a volume of the series.

The last book of "A Song of Ice and Fire" is set to be "A Dream of Spring."

Martin also said during the Q&A session that he doesn't care if HBO airs the next season before he completes "The Winds of Winter." He admitted that he used to be worried.

"Then I said, to hell with that. Worrying about it isn't going to change it one way or another. I still sit down at the typewriter, and I have to write the next scene and the next sentence ... I'm just going to tell my story, and they're telling their story and adapting my books, and we shall see."
