"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" serves as a sequel to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and a continuation of the narrative established there.

One of the biggest video game franchise and pioneer of the stealth-action genre is coming back as "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" hit stores in Sept. 1. Major video game reviewers have already published their impression of the game and a common theme stands out in almost all reviews; the game is huge.

Development of "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" took several years. In fact the game's developer, Kojima Productions, released a prologue and tutorial game called "Ground Zeroes" in order to pacify the growing hysteria and hype about the upcoming game.

Several major game reviewers have received a copy of the game ahead of the scheduled Sept. 1 release. These reviews are aimed to further solidify the game's growing critical acclaim.

Prominent video game news website IGN posted a review giving "Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain" a perfect score of 10/10. The review's verdict reads, "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain doesn't just respect my intelligence as a player, it expects it of me, putting it in a league that others occupy."

According to VG 24/7, due to the game's extensive content, some reviewers gave their reviews a pending progress and just published initial impression of the game. The report added that most prominent reviewers gave the game a perfect score, a testament as to how well-polished the game is.

"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is the eleventh, and probably last, installment in the highly successful "Metal Gear" series. The game will be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows platforms.
