"Orphan Black" star Tatiana Maslany acknowledged the fact that she was nominated for the 2015 Emmy Award. Maslany perceives the nomination as an honor after the award-giving body identified her talent.
The actress told CBC that it is exciting for her to be nominated in addition to teh widespread support from her fans.
The actress was not nominated for the same award last year, something that was a disappointment not only for Maslany but also her fans. Furthermore, the press had high expectations that she would be nominated, failure of which attracted much attention.
The Emmy Award usually has stiff competition among actors from different shows. In the current nomination, Maslany will compete against Viola Davis of "How to Get Away With Murder," "House of Cards" lead Robin Wright, "Empire" actress Taraji P. Henson, and "Homeland's" Claire Danes in the category of Best Actress.
Maslany teased that shooting for "Orphan Black" season 4 will commence in September. Sarah Barnett, the BBC America President teased that the script for "Orphan Black" season 4 is in development and fans should expect to meet Maslany playing a new role that will fascinate them. Therefore, season 4 will have an intriguing plot, especially the aspect of having Krystal as a mysterious new clone, Movie Pilot reported.
Maslany is currently on vacation after winding up the back-to-back projects in Canada. "Orphan Black" season 4 will come back to BBC America in 2016.
