"Mortal Kombat X" will not be released for game consoles PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 anymore.

"Mortal Kombat X" statement was made by Yorick, a Warner Bros. community administrator. According to him, "Mortal Kombat X" has been crossed out from the list for last generation consoles last Friday.  Sony PlayStation website also concurred with this statement and removed the game from its page.

"After months of development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has come to the regrettable conclusion that we cannot release Mortal Kombat X for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360," Yorick said through WB Games. "Please know our teams worked diligently to meet the quality standards set by the current-gen versions of the game," he continued.

The WB administrator also said that they were not able to get hold of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions to the superb quality expected of "Mortal Kombat" games. He added, they are very sorry for not being able to deliver the products as promised originally.

"Mortal Kombat X" developer NetherRealm created the core of the game. High Voltage Software was in-charge for porting the fighting game to PC and last gen console.  The decision to cancel the game came from the power limitations of last gen consoles hardware, not to mention that the PC version is also plagued with its own share of issues, Techno Buffalo reported.

Full "Mortal Kombat X" refunds will be made to all customers who pre-ordered the game for their PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 console.

"Mortal Kombat X" hardware limitation on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is a big factor in porting out a game.
