Xiaomi Mi 4C Retail Box Leaks; Device Sports Snapdragon 808 Chipset, USB Type-C

The new Xiaomi Mi 4c smartphone was recently put into the spotlight of the tech community after an alleged photo of the device's retail box leaked online hinting some of the phone's specs.

While the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has yet to confirm the existence of the Mi 4c smartphone, speculations have already started to surface about the device's specs. The recent emergence of the phone's retail box added more intrigue about the highly anticipated device.

According to NDTV, the leaked photograph shows that the Mi 4c will have a 5-inch display with full HD resolution. It has 2GB of internal memory and 16GB of storage space. Support for storage expansion has not been confirmed yet. The phone's battery pack is estimated to be around 3,000 mAh.

The Mi 4c sports a 13-megapixel rear facing main camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The leaked photo also listed support for USB Type-C 3.0. The device will also run on the MIUI ROM, an Android based operating system, with rumors pointing to the recently released MIUI build 7.

Listed on the leaked photo is the phone's chipset which is the Snapdragon 808 from Qualcomm. The chipset boasts a hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, according to Gizmo China. Connectivity options are GPRS/EDGE, 3G and 4G LTE. The device measures 138.1mm x 69.6mm x 7.8mm and weighs 130 grams.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c is expected to be unveiled within the first week of September. Although the company has yet to confirm it, many tech analysts believe that it should be able to hit the market before the end of the year.
