‘Spider-Man' Reboot Spoilers: 3 Things To Know About Andrew Garfield's Replacement

Tom Holland will play Peter Parker in the 2017 "Spider-Man" reboot.

Sony and Marvel recently confirmed that Tom Holland will play the role of Spider-Man on the upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot.

Here are three things fans did not know about the actor who will give life to the character of Peter Parker.

According to Venture Capital Post, Holland's big break in the industry kicked off in 2006 when he was cited by a choreographer at the school dance festival.

In 2004, Holland starred alongside Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor in the film entitled, "The Impossible."

Holland's background in dancing and his training in doing complex stunts made him the best choice for the role of Spider-Man.

Meanwhile, according to Business Insider, Holland tries his best to shy away from the cameras and he has also maintained a low profile when it comes to his use of Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

In other news, Holland recently received support from "The Amazing Spider-Man" actor Andrew Garfield. Even though Garfield admitted that he thought he will still play the role, he said that he is happy that it was given to Holland.

According to Den of Geek, Holland could be a more effective Spider-Man compared to Garfield because the former is considered as a young man and that is exactly who Peter was when he discovered his superpowers.

"I think it'll be a fun departure from the Peter Parker you've seen, where now he is truly a kid and I think the stakes are increased in that his struggle through high school is very real and isn't just a sort of side note. It matters now," the publication noted.

"Spider-Man" reboot is slated to hit theaters in the United States sometimes in 2017.
