'Mr. Robot' season 1 ended on Sept. 2.

The mind-boggling season 1 of psycho-techno thriller, "Mr. Robot," has come to an end as USA Network aired its finale episode on Sept. 2, Wednesday. "Mr. Robot" season 1 episode 10 was aptly titled "Zero-Day.Avi" and was centered on chronically depressed Elliot (Rami Malek) who closely observes the chaos as his keyboard-pounding cyber-vigilantes execute a comprehensive plan to rid the world of debt.

The episode began with Elliot waking up in the back of a black SUV somewhere in Manhattan after a gap of three days when the plan was executed. Tyrell is missing with whom Elliot has presumable hacked the company due to which the world economy has crumbled over.

Elliot started a lookout for Tyrell. Meanwhile, Angela (Portia Doubleday) accepts her job offer at E Corp wherein she is told to assist James Plouffe, E Corp's executive vice president of technology.

While the company has suffered badly due to the hacking, Pouffle tries to calm down the public and assured them that their money is safe. After an interviewer asks him how he is planning to recover the estimated $4 billion loss, Pouffle reaches for a bag under his chair mid-interview, pulls out a pistol, sticks the barrel in his mouth and pulled the trigger in the front of the live audience.

In his quest to find Tyrell, it is discovered that Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) is no one but a product of Elliot's morphine-addicted imagination. In fact, he turns out to be Elliot's split personality who is in contrast to his introvert self, is a larger-than-life outlaw who hates the digital world around him.

Both characters confront each other at Times Square where one is arguing to save the world while other wants to let it burn. Mr. Robot overpowers the personality of Elliot who decided to just observe the chaos he has created through FSociety, bringing a grand ending to the season 1 of the hit series.
