Kate Middleton's sister Pippa Middleton is all set to take part in ÖTILLÖ swimrun race scheduled to take place in Stockholm archipelago on Sept. 7.
Pippa is reportedly in the final days of her preparation for one of the toughest races. She was also spotted practicing for the race during her recent St. Barts vacation.
"I'm inspired by the scenery, the sense of adventure and sheer distance that's involved, running 65km in a wetsuit and swimming 10km in trainers with hand paddles," she told Reuters as cited by Toronto Sun.
Pippa explained that it was "an unusual and unique event, not for the faint hearted" and she was taken by the idea of "competing in the stunning surroundings." She added that ÖTILLÖ has "an edge to it that stands out above other endurance races."
Also, Pippa said that much of the swimrun takes place on uneven ground. During the marathon they have to cross barriers like rocks and shore-line. The swimrun will stretch across 75km and will have two teams consisting of 240 athletes.
In her email correspondence, Pippa said that she is intrigued by the idea of participating in an athletic event that is set to take place in the beautiful surroundings.
Previously, Pippa hastaken part in another tough marathon called Tusk Trust's Safari Marathon. She had completed the marathon in more than three hours, according to Hello magazine.
In June, Pippa has taken part in Brighton Bike Ride. She became the part of the ride to support British Heart Foundation.
