"Dancing with the Stars" season 21 lost another potential cast member in New Orleans Pelican superstar Anthony Davis. The NBA player turned down the offer for he was afraid to make a fool out of himself in the dance floor.
Speaking to TMZ, Davis revealed that he was offered a spot on "Dancing with the Stars". He, however, had to turn it down because he was not comfortable dancing in public. The athlete added that he will only embarrass himself if he decided to join the competition.
Davis shared that he has watched a few episodes of the show. He added that he saw some of his fellow athletes compete in the reality series, however, dancing was really not his forte.
Even if he would have accepted the offer, his hectic schedule may not allow him to fulfill his obligations. The NBA season will reportedly coincide with the filming of season 21.
According to Wet Paint, the ABC executives are in a bind after Caitlyn Jenner refused to appear on the show. They were reportedly having a hard time finding a replacement which would capture the attention of the viewers.
The publication reported that Kim Kardashian, Pippa Middleton and Kaitlyn Bristowe were rumored to join the cast of "Dancing with the Stars" season 21. The chances of Kardashian and Middleton appearing in the show, however, were allegedly slim.
Meanwhile, ABC has a record of asking "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" alumni to join the show after the winner has been revealed. This further convinced "DWTS" fans that Bristowe may be joining the cast next season.
