"Game Of Thrones" season 6 has just become more exciting as it is confirmed that Freddie Stroma, who is best known for his manipulative skills in Lifetime's "unreal," is set to join the hit HBO fantasy series.
The English actor and model, who was also seen as Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter films, will play the role of Dickon Tarly, Samwell's younger and physically more capable brother, E! News reported.
In fact, Samwell, played by John Bradley, was sent away to join the Night's Watch by his father to remove him from the territory. Samwell's father allegedly favored Dickon and always wanted him to be his heir. Samwell was last seen leaving Castle Black with Gilly for Oldtown to study to become a master in season 5.
Stroma's inclusion in the cast indicates that a family reunion might happen where Samwell will come face to face with Dickon.
Other new actors to join the cast of the multi-starrer hit series are former "Deadwood" star Ian McShane and "The Exorcist" star Max von Sydow. While the details about the role of McShane is not yet confirmed, Sydow is likely to play the role of the Three-Eyed Raven that used to haunt the Bran Stark's vision since the tragic accident which left him crippled.
Another character joining the series is Theon Greyjoy's hot-tempered uncle Euron. The role will be played by Danish actor Pilou Asbaek, who is known for his roles in "Lucy" and "A Hijacking," IGN reported.
"Game Of Thrones" season 6 is set to air in 2016. Meanwhile, HBO has confirmed that the Emmy-nominated series will run till eight seasons.
