| Sep 05, 2015 02:54 PM EDT

The alter ego of Bruce Banner, Marvel superhero The Hulk was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

With the All-New All-Different Marvel initiative, Amadeus Cho of the upcoming "Totally Awesome Hulk" series has been introduced as the first Korean American leading man in the Marvel Universe.

Amadeus Cho shares some similarities as well as differences with Bruce Banner. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Marvel's editor-in-chief Axel Alonso said, "Amadeus came to mind for a lot of different reasons."

"Physically, he's like Banner," Alonso said of Amadeus Cho. "He's the 98-pound weakling who's had everything but the physical aspect to make him seem super cool."

Alonso further explained that Amadeus Cho, a plucky kid with a chip on his shoulder, is very different from Bruce Banner, who inherited the burden of being the Hulk as an adult. He said, "He shares the monstrous intellect but he's so different. he's a teenage kid, who's hasn't lived much yet."

"Totally Awesome Hulk" writer Greg Pak also told the publication that Amadeus Cho is going to be "a very different kind of Hulk." At 19, he has "a ridiculous amount of confidence" and he thinks he is right about everything.

Marvel has also revealed that Amadeus will be the only Hulk in the Marvel Universe. The "Totally Awesome Hulk" series starts in December and it is part of the All-New, All-Different Marvel initiative.

In addition, fans also have to wait for the launch to find out what has happened to Bruce Banner, according to The Hollywood Reporter. What has been confirmed was that the African-American character Miles Morales will join Peter Parker as one of two Spider-Men in New York City.
