Because of the exchange of intelligence information between U.S. and British troops, the free days of Jihadi John are numbered. Reports said that UK intelligence officers and the SAS are closing in on Mohammed Emwazi, the real name of the Islamic State (IS) beheader.
He had decapitated at least seven western hostages and is number 1 on the U.S. hit list. The numbers 2 and 3 were recently killed by the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command using drones, reports Dailystar.
Chances are Emwazi would also die in by a drone strike like Junaid Hussein, the Birmingham computer hacker who was second on the U.S. kill list, or he would be captured by an elite task force team made up of U.S. Navy, Marines and Army Special Forces soldiers who are on standby in the Middle East.
A short video last week of Jihadi John being unmasked of the black cloth that covered his head confirmed that he is Emwazi. In the video, he threatened to return to Britain - where he grew up and was educated - and behead non-Muslims.
Meanwhile, Vice News reports that Coalition airstrikes killed on Saturday two Sharia court judges who presided at Raqqa, the de facto capital of IS. One judge was from Iraq and the other from an unnamed Gulf nation, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights which is based in the UK.
A day before the two judges were killed, two airstrikes in Raqqa destroyed two IS vehicles and hit an IS tactical unit, the Department of Defense reports.
