The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an action-RPG video game developed by CD Projekt RED for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Platform.

The "Hearts of Stone" DLC for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" teaser trailer and official launch date were revealed that excite gamers.

Game developer CD Projekt RED has officially announced the teaser trailer and launch date for new "Hearts of Stone" expansion for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt". "Hearts of Stone" is one of the two DLCs of the game followed by "Blood and Wine" expansion pack in 2016.

"Hearts of Stone" will introduce a new gameplay feature called "Runewords" in the third installment, VG 24/7 reported. While CD Projekt Red has explained the full details on how the "Runewords" works, the new game feature is hinted to have a significant effect during "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" gameplay as each Rune word can cause different impacts within the game. This will allow players to experiment on different tactics and strategies when facing new enemies or solving puzzles using this new feature.

The "Hearts of Stone" plot will feature Geralt accepting a new quest to kill a bandit captain named Olgierd von Everec, who is rumored to have the power of immortality, IGN reported.

In the teaser trailer, Geralt has been captured by the enemy and was imprisoned as an unknown character approaches him, branding his face with one of the Runewords. Moreover, several images revealed new monsters in the game as well as a returning character, Shani from "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings".

Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED community manager Marcin Momot tweeted that players can start the "Hearts of Stone" quest during or after the game's main story and they must be at level 30 and above to start the mission, which is similar to how gamers have started when they tried the New Gameplus mode.

The "Hearts of Stone" DLC is stated to deliver around 10 hours of new content and will cost around $8.50. There is also a limited box edition of the DLC, which comes with a new digital code, two decks of Gwent cards and a rule book. The limited box edition cost $19.99 as the "Hearts of Stone" DLC will be available on Oct. 13.

"The Witcher: Wild Hunt" is currently available in stores for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
