Ben Affleck will play Batman in Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Batman gets the spotlight rather than Superman in Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," according to reports.

According to Heroic Hollywood, Warner Bros. requested to have Snyder's film feature the Dark Knight more than the Man of Steel. Since the initiation of Snyder and Ben Affleck, respectively, moves have been executed to put emphasis on Affleck's Batman over Henry Cavill's Superman.

Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy factored in to be one of the most famous superhero films DC and Warner Bros. has had, as per Cinema Blend.

While Snyder's "Man of Steel" has received positive response from fans and critics, the production team had a hard time planning the character's future and keeping him aligned with the studio's dark toned films. On the other hand, the production team has a number of ideas on how would they fit the Dark Knight in a film with a dark tone, along with a desire to expand the character in DC's Cinematic Universe.

While Superman is also a founding member of the Justice League, Batman is set to have his solo spin-off film reboot, which will be directed by Affleck. On the other hand, the Man of Steel has been rumored to have another film with George Miller as its director; however, it has been reported to be on hold.

Affleck and Cavill are set to clash in Snyder's upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Along with them, the film also stars Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Adams, among others.

Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to premiere in theaters on Mar. 25, 2016.
