According to reports, the tech giant Google is rolling out a new Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update with build number LMY48M for the Nexus 9, Nexus 7, Nexus 6, Nexus 5 and Nexus 4.
The build number LMY48M pertains to all the Nexus devices; however, the carrier specific version of the Nexus 6 smartphone is an exception. According to GSMArena, the Nexus 6 smartphone handset will get its own build of LYZ28K.
According to Android Geeks, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop build is not feature-rich and no new updates are expected. However, the new build will come bundled with many bug fixes in addition to the security patches. The software update bundle is somewhat small as there are no new features included.
Users of the Nexus devices can check the update availability and status via the website of T-Mobile. It is important to note that the Android 5.1.1 LMY48M Lollipop update is being released in phases, therefore, it will not be available for all users at the same time.
Nexus users won't take too long to download and install the latest build. The package is 30 MB in size particular to the Nexus 6 handset. The rest of the devices bundle appears to be below 20 MB.
Also, according to latest reports, the search giant has rolled out Android 5.1.1 bug-fix update with build number LMY48M via factory images for Nexus 10, Nexus 9, Nexus 7, Nexus 6, Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. It is expected that the search giant Google will release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow this month, according to Venture Capital Post.
