Leaked photos of latest Nexus 5X surfaced online, suggesting that the device is thinner than the original Nexus 5. The images were not the best photos yet but it does match earlier leaked reports on the new Nexus device, with a codename Project N3.
The photos were seen first seen at an Italian tech blog GliStockisi stating that they received the images from an internal source of LG. The final design of Nexus 5X leaked online showed some of the device’s key specifications, including the camera bump and battery. This is the first leaked image showing the LG Nexus 5X in black.
The device will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 chipset at the helm (with a hexa-core CPU) and runs under Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Nexus 5X will have 2GB of RAM, with two options for internal storage:32 or 64GB. It will feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display 1080 x 1920 screen resolution, 12.3MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and the laser autofocus and a 5 MP selfie snapper.
The most disappointing feature of the device is its 2700 mAh battery, according to BGR. It suggests that the Nexus 5X is not going to have a long-lasting battery; however Android 6.0 Marshmallow’s battery-saving improvements may still deliver a good battery life.
Nexus 5X will have a USB Type-C port at the bottom and may feature wireless charging capabilities. The device has a built-in LTE Cat.6, which supports maximum theoretical download speeds of 300Mbps and 50Mbps uploads, GSM Arena reported.
LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus phablet will be launched officially on Sept. 29 at a special event, but Google has not yet sent media invites.
