The Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update will soon be coming for Motorola Droid Ultra, Moto Maxx, Droid Mini, Droid Turbo, and Droid Maxx.
The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update will bring along an amalgamation of new features and system stability. Motorola recently announced that it is planning to roll out this upgrade for 17 smartphones, before the release of Android Marshmallow.
Apart from the above mentioned phones, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgrade is also confirmed for Moto E 2014 and 2013, Moto G 2014 and 2013, Moto X, Moto X Pro, and Moto E LTE version devices.
Moto X Style and Moto X Play are expected to be equipped with the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box. This upgrade will make many bug fixes, in addition with the improvising in the material design as well as support for Android Play.
The update will also provide the support for the finger print sensor and USB Type C connection port. It will get the sync feature to the devices, in addition with the switch feature.
There will also be a change in the icon size in the home launcher settings. The volume rockers will now be able to get controlled in the home screen itself, without the need to go to the settings. The tapping of the icon on the left hand side two times will silence the phone entirely. There will also be new items in the settings menu.
To check for the update, the users can Settings > About phone > System update > Check for updates.
The device must be at least 50 percent charged and connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection for uninterrupted installation.
It is not yet known whether Motorola Droid Ultra, Moto Maxx, Droid Mini, Droid Turbo, and Droid Maxx will get the Android Marshmallow update or not. According to BGR, Android Marshmallow will increase the battery life and enhance the user experience of the device.
