iOS 9 Release Update: New Default Font, Siri Suggestions, Wi-Fi Operated Calls, Low Power Mode On Sept. 16

iOS 9 which will be launched on Sept. 16 and Apple users are now getting excited for its approaching release. The new operating system  is compatible with other devices that presently run iOS 8 like pad 2 and iPhone 4S.

iOS 9 upon release will target the font Helvetica Neue by removing and replacing it with Apple's San Francisco font. The keyboard is also expected to have some changes to allow the users for easy navigation, Neurogadget reported. 

iOS 9 will enable the shift key to change all letters from the uppercase to a lowercase. Most importantly, Siri will now be able to take note of the applications that the users frequently use. Based on the gathered data, Siri will have more accurate suggestions.

Spotlight search will also give searches and links which are based on the users' locations, including weather forecasts,  sports scores and updates. The application maps will be able to provide mass transit guides for ferries, buses, trains and subways. The notes app will do other things like insert photos, maps, support drawings and checklists, Macworld reported.

Apple is also set to debut the News app which is like the services of RSS-based news and Flipboard. Phone calls will now be supported with Wi-Fi to reduce the costs of mobile operator. The said feature will use less battery and will give clear connections. The low power mode will be able to provide additional three hours of phone usage.

iOS 9 has got a lot more features and only 1.3 GB of its memory is needed while 4.6 GB is needed in iOS 8.

iOS 9 is set to be launched at 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 16.
