Divergent is a 2014 American science fiction action film directed by Neil Burger, based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth.

"Divergent" trilolgy's remaining installments will now be dubbed "The Divergent Series: Allegiant" and "The Divergent Series: Ascendant."

"Divergent" trilogy movie author Veronica Roth  has hinted that some changes will happen but did not give full details saying that exposure was too early. From "Divergent Series: Allegiant Part 1" and  "Divergent Series: Allegiant Part 2" it will be changed to "The Divergent Series: Allegiant" and "The Divergent Series: Ascendant."

"Divergent" revelations were gathered from the author's Tumblr, where she expressed hopes that the fans of the trilogy will remain supportive even after the changes were made. "I know that changes can make fans of books and author as well to be anxious, but I am hoping that the characters that we have known will remain the same, " Roth posted.

"Divergent" movies will be having some new taglines which goes "The Divergent Series: Allegiant; Break the boundaries of your world" and "The Divergent Series: Ascendant; The end is never what you expect", Entertainment weekly reported.

While the studio has not provided any reason for  these changes, Hypable article has insisted that this seems to be Summit and Lionsgate's strategy to delay the Divergent lethargy. However, the article also quoted that the fans may not find this to be the best news.

"Divergent: Allegiant" will be shown in theaters on March 18, 2016 as Four and Tris are about to discover what remains outside the real world. The series is set to have a wrap up with "Divergent: Ascendant." on March 24, 2017.
