"Garry's Mod" fans are going to have a treat a the game franchise is confirming that there will be a part 2. Another great news is that the new game will be VR ready.
"Garry's Mod" developer Facepunch Studios has finally announced that a sequel for "Garry's Mod" is in progress, after 10 years. The announcement was made by Garry Newman, creator and founder of Facepunch Studios.
"Garry's Mod" the sandbox game, was published by Valve and will let the players do whatever they want on the items that can be found inside the game. Players can control and manipulate these various things, and it will be compatible with the VR technology, PCGamesN reported.
"Garry's Mod" game was originally a variation Valve's "Half-Life 2" game, but was released in 2006 via Steam, as a stand alone game. "Garry's Mod" is similar to "Minecraft," but no building blocks, instead players can add anything to the game like vehicles, enemies, furnitures, food - depending on the add-ons that is currently available.
"Garry's Mod" creator also commented about a possible increase in terms of cost for the gamers. The game was actually free to download from 2004 till 2005.
Since it is too early in its development, there is no title for the game yet, but as Newman added, it will not be called "Garry's Mod 2."
"Garry's Mod" is still available for download over Steam for $10. It was previously noted that "Garry's Mod" has made over $30 million in terms of sales, GameSpot reported.
