Walt Disney Studios has teased fans what to expect in Jon Favreau's upcoming live-action adaptation of "The Jungle Book."
The studio shared a short video on its official Vine account. The video is not colorful, though it shows the trees with abundant leaves, a serene river, and a glimpse to large trees and its big branches, one of which showing a silhouette of Mowgli standing on it. Overall, the studios' vine showcased a realistic touch on the classic tale and it got more than 1,000 likes and more than 200 revines.
Disney's new "The Jungle Book" vine shows a blend of pensive yet lifelike setting, as per Cinema Blend. Favreau revealed in previous reports that his incarnation of the classic tale will preserve the original qualities of the story while injecting some allegorical elements, in addition to a creative general tone. With Favreau being known for directing Marvel's "Iron Man, his "The Jungle Book" film could be promising.
Disney also announced that the first look at the footage will premiere on Sept. 14 and the teaser will be aired on Access Hollywood, as per Comic Book.
"The Jungle Book" centers on Mowgli, an orphan boy who is raised in the jungle with the help of a pack of wolves, a bear, and a black panther. The film's voice cast includes Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Christopher Walken, Giancarlo Esposito, Lupita Nyong'o, and Emjay Anthony. "Diwali" actor Neel Sethi is playing the role of Mowgli, among others.
