"Dance Moms" season 6 may just end up being cancelled following reports that fans are going to boycott the show. It was said that fans have lost interest in watching the Lifetime series, after multiple sources, and even its stars, confirmed that the show was fake and scripted.

According to Movie Pilot, the show has always put emphasis on Maddie Ziegler's journey more than the ALDC as a whole. The author added that rather than focusing on the competitions, season 5 was all about the team moving to Los Angeles. Instead of teaching her students how to become the best dancer, Abby Lee Miller was reportedly caught up in trying to build a dance empire.

In the last episodes, the publication also pointed out that Miller's favoritism towards Maddie has grown more evident. Maddie's mom Melissa Gisoni has also showed more interest in her older daughter's career than Mackenzie. This definitely did not help in Mackenzie's self esteem.

The publication also pointed out that instead of celebrating Mackenzie and Nia's accomplishments, in Maddie's absence, Miller and the moms opted to argue and put up a show in front of the camera, embarrassing the dancers just to get the ratings up.

The author pointed out that Chloe Lukasiak leaving season 5 after she was "viciously insulted" by Miller was just an indication that the Lifetime series is going downhill.

In a YouTube video posted by carmoDANCE, Miller admitted that producers will tell dancers what to say in the early seasons, confirming that the Lifetime series is scripted.

"They were relentless and won't get you up on the chair and leave until you say it.  They wear you down until they get it out of you," Miller shared.
