Ryan Reynolds will play the Merc with the Mouth in Tim Miller's "Deadpool."

With Tim Miller's "Deadpool" coming to theaters next year, it has been reported that 20th Century Fox is taking complete lead with the film's R-rating.

In his interview with Collider, executive producer Simon Kinberg said that he was convinced that Miller's film would give everything the fans expect after he watched an early cut of the forthcoming film. Kinberg added that aside from being faithful to the source material, the entirety of Miller's "Deadpool" is also parallel to its trailer.

For Kinberg, "Deadpool" should be dark, edgy, and weird, among other superhero films. Miller's film is the only one that has a character who can break the fourth wall, along with the ability to provide a graphic content that is in line with the character's comic book iteration.

With its R-rating, Miller's "Deadpool" can be obscene and intense as wants to be, as per Cinema Blend. The publication added that while a deterring PG-13 rating is feasible, the film would not feel genuine considering the character's nature. But since "Deadpool" will be taking its R-rating to the fullest, "Deadpool" fans would be satisfied when the see the Merc in the Mouth in action on the big screen.

"Deadpool" features Wilson's origin story, as a former member of the Special Forces who became a subject in an experiment to become a superhero. Ryan Reynolds will play Deadpool, also known as the Merc with the Mouth. Along with Reynolds the film also stars Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, Ed Skrein, and T.J. Miller, among others.

Miller's "Deadpool" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on Feb. 12, 2016. Watch the red band trailer here:
