Apple's iOS 9 will be dropped this Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 and it promises that it will not be a battery drainer. Check out these new iOS 9 features that will help you save battery.
iOS 9 Battery Saving Tips
1. When you get a notification on your iPhone or iPad, the screen of the device lights up. However, according to Cnet, if you keep your device face down on a flat surface, it won't light up. You will get to know about the notification via vibration or sound.
2. iOS 9 comes with a brand new feature called Low Power Mode. The description of Low Power Mode reads, "Low Power Mode temporarily reduces power consumption until you can fully charge your iPhone. When this is on, mail fetch, background app refresh, automatic downloads, and some visual effects are reduced or turned off."
You can activate Low Power Mode by heading to Settings and Battery. As soon as you activate the mode, the color of the battery icon changes.
Moreover, at 20 percent the new Apple iOS advises you to switch to Low Power Mode.
Meanwhile, iOS 9 release date is Sept. 16, 2015 and as Apple starts rolling out the update, you can prepare your compatible device for the upgrade.
Interestingly, iOS 9 update is just 1.4 GB (iOS 8 was 4.6 GB).
iOS 9 comes with new Notes app that allows you add maps, pictures and sketch. Also, there is a new News app for Apple users.
