Paul Walker's "Furious 7" co-actor Jason Statham does need an acting double, according to Chris Evan's "Captain America: Civil War" co-actor Paul Bettany.
During his appearance on "Conan" on Sept. 15, Tuesday, Bettany told Conan O'Brien that Statham "should think about investing in an acting double."
Bettany said this after O'Brien brought up comments Statham previously made while promoting "Spy." The comments questioned the authenticity of Marvel films' stunts.
Initially, Bettany praised Statham saying the "Furious 8" is brilliant at what he does, something that he could not do it." He then praised the work of movie stunt doubles and suggested that for his dramatic scenes, Statham would perhaps need an acting double.
"If there's a really, really tricky scene with some very tricky dialogue, one might consider bringing in an acting double for Jason Statham," Bettany told O'Brien.
The "Captain America: Civil War" actor was nominated Best Actor at the British Independent Film Award in 2000 for "Gangster No. 1" and was nominated Best Supporting Actor at the BAFTA Film Award in 2004 for "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World."
In the 2016 film The "Captain America: Civil War," Bettany is set to play Bettany with Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, among others.
On the other hand, Statham is set to reprise his role as Deckard Shaw in "Furious 8" opposite Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto and Dwayne Johnson as Hobbs.
