Nintendo Directs To Proceed Without Iwata? New One To Be Released In 2016?

| Sep 17, 2015 08:20 AM EDT

The "Super Smash Bros. 4" fighting video games were developed by Sora Ltd. and Bandai Namco Games.

Nintendo faced many questions after the death of Iwata-san. While the video game company has chosen Iwata's successor in Tatsumi Kimishima, fans were still concerned as to whether Nintendo Directs will proceed.

However, the company has released a quick statement to IGN concerning the renowned web-series that informed fans about the release dates and other updates in the universe of Nintendo.

Talking to IGN, the video game company publisher said, "Nintendo Directs will continue but we have no details to provide now on who will be featured or the topics that will be covered."

The short but relieving news gave a confirmation that Nintendo will continue to provide news and link fans through social media outlets like its YouTube channel.

Given the statement was a bit vague concerning the way forward for Nintendo Direct, we can only assume that Nintendo of America's Reggie Fils-Aime will coordinate prospect Nintendo Directs in tribute of Iwata-san.

On the other hand, with the recent launch of every game and amiibo that will hit the markets for the remaining part of 2015, fans may not see a new Nintendo Direct until 2016. The move will be plausible considering the Pokémon 20th Anniversary taking place in the course of next year and the first information about Nintendo's progress into mobile gaming as well as the next console anticipated to come out in 2016.

Since there is enough time for preparation, Nintendo Directs can be bigger and better, and in spite of the doubts from some of the developers from Nintendo, fans should be happy that Nintendo Directs will continue, iDigital Times reported.
