Telltale Games Sets ‘Minecraft: Story Mode’ Release Date On Oct. 13

Telltale Games recently announced the official release date of Minecraft: Story Mode.

A series of leaks that surfaced way back in December 2014 claim that "Minecraft" is poised to receive its own adventure story game mode. More recently, "Minecraft" developer Tellgames announced that gamer will finally get their hands on the season premiere of the highly anticipated "Minecraft: Story Mode" which is set to be released on Oct. 13.

A description of the game posted on Telltale Games' official website reads, "In Minecraft: Story Mode, playing as either a male or female hero names 'Jesse,' you'll embark on a perilous adventure across the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond."

Telltale Games added that upcoming game will introduce gamers to the legendary Order of the Stone which is a group composed of different classes which includes: Warrior, Architect, Griefer and Redstone Engineer. The game's storyline, the legendary group is known as the slayers of the Ender Dragon.

According to PC Mag, the game's first episode will be released on PC and Mac via Steam or Telltale Online Store. For PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 gamers, the game can be purchased on the PlayStation Network. Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners can purchase a copy of the game through Xbox Games Store.

The game will be released on mobile devices on Oct. 15. Android gamers can purchase a copy via Google Play. For gamers using iOS based devices, they can purchase a copy of the game in the App Store. Amazon device users can purchase the game at the Amazon Appstore.

Telltale Games said that "Minecraft: Story Mode" will be released to the PS Vita and Wii U but the company did not provide the exact launch date for these platforms.
