Cast member Jon Hamm attends a premiere screening of the AMC series "Mad Men" season 5.

"Mad Men" Actor Jon Hamm was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category in the annual Emmy awards, and his program co-start and fellow competitor for the Emmy award hopes that the actor wins the award.

Acting as the recently-concluded American drama's main character, the American actor tackled the role of Don Draper whose fictional story focuses on his life from a creative director at Sterling Cooper to a founding partner at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce.

Receiving another nomination at the annual Emmy Awards, the 'Mad Men' actor is not new to accepting the famous award ceremony nominations. According to International Business Times, the famous actor had already earned 16 nominations in the awards night and eight of them were for his portrayal of the talented businessman.

For his outstanding work, his 'Mad Men' co-star and other stars rooted for him on winning the said category. Actress Christina Hendricks, who acted as the series' Joan Holloway, stated in an interview that she supports her Hamm. In addition, "Piranha 3D" actor Jerry O' Connell, who had not even met Hamm, said that it's about time that the 44-year-old actor earns his Emmy award.

Aside from his co-star and other stars, fellow Emmy award nominee for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series Liev Schreiber also picked Hamm as the winner of the award. According to Vulture, the "Ray Donovan" actor stressed that the drama actor is an extraordinary actor; thus, he believes the "Mad Man" actor should win.

On the Emmy Awards Night, the famous American period drama actor will have to compete against four more possible contenders for the category. Other actors include "Better Call Saul" actor Bob Odenkirk, "House of Cards" actor Kevin Spacey, "Bloodline" actor Kyle Chandler, and "The Newsroom" actor Jeff Daniel.

If the American Drama Series does not bag the said award, Hamm still has a chance of winning along with his fellow co-stars in the "Outstanding Drama Series" category and a separate stint in the sitcom "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" for "Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series".

Meanwhile, television channel Fox would air the Emmy Awards 2015 on Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. in eastern daylight time.
