The Washington Redskins (1-1) hope to maintain the momentum of their 24-10 win over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday to try and hand the New York Giants (0-2) their third straight loss of the season as they battle at the MetLife Stadium on Thursday, September 24.
Running backs Matt Jones and Alfred Morris powered the Redskins to the win as they combined for 182 yards on 37 carries, as per the Washington Post. Jones had two touchdowns in the process while quarterback Kirk Cousins completed one passing touchdown en route to the blowout victory.
Meanwhile, the Giants succumbed to their second loss in as many games as they stumbled against the Atlanta Falcons, 24-20, at home also on Sunday, via SB Nation.
It was also the second straight close defeat for Tom Coughlin's boys after their week 1 debacle versus the Dallas Cowboys wherein crucial errors in crunch time cost them a 26-27 game.
Sure enough, Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. will try not to repeat the same mistakes again as they go for their first win this season against Washington.
Prediction: Giants win, 24-21
