Xiaomi Mi 4C Specs Updates: Snapdragon 808 Soc Confirmed, 5MP Front Camera Makes Smartphone Compete With iPhone 6?

Xiaomi has announced that it will start its own MVNO service.

Xiaomi's Sept. 22, Tuesday Event is eminent and now the company is doing everything to present best features for the upcoming Mi 4C smartphone. In the latest Weibo post, Xiaomi Co-Founder and President Lin Bin compared a front-camera sample of its next-gen Mi 4C with the iPhone 6 from Apple.

In addition, Chairman and Co-Founder of Xiaomi Company Lei Jun shared some detailed features of the smartphone, including a confirmation of the device being powered by the Snapdragon 808 SoC.

Bin revealed details of the front camera on the Mi 4C through Weibo asserting that it would have a 5MP sensor coming with 85-degree wide angle lens and self-timer. There were images taken both by the upcoming Mi 4C and iPhone 6 for comparison purposes. Users have the liberty to decide on which images are clearer and better.

More features of the upcoming Mi 4C include the smartphone coming with dual-SIM support, a 3080mAh large and powerful battery that could last the whole day and still remain at 40 percent the following day. The 5-inch full-HD display phone will be shipped with a USB Type-C port and a 13MP rear camera.  

On the other hand, Jun confirmed that the smartphone will indeed be powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor just like it had been previously rumored. Similarly, the phone will come with improved data connectivity of up to 20 percent faster download speed. The Mi 4C will also have double tap to wake screen feature and sleep apart from coming in a pick color variant.

Previously, Bin had pointed out that the Xiaomi Mi 4C would be available in two variants - the 16GB internal storage capacity with a 2GB RAM and the 32GB internal storage capacity variant with 3GB RAM, Gadgets reported.

The smartphone will be available in China first before rolling to other markets around the world.
