"Reign" season 3 is a couple of weeks away and Toby Regbo has promised that fans will cry during one of the episodes that has a dance scene.
Speaking to fans through a clip posted on Twitter, Regbo unveiled that everyone on the crew cried while the dance scene was being filmed.
The star also teased more tear-jerking scenes in season 3, but avoided giving more details on the same. Regbo who is playing Prince Francis in the series said, "I can tell you that we've shot a few scenes that are going to make you cry - and they're really, really good."
Reportedly, the dance could be between Queen Mary Stuart (Adelaide Kane) and Francis, previously perceived to be seriously sick and could die during a conversation with Nostradamus (Rossif Sutherland) in season finale. At the end of season 2, Stuart and Francis were reconciling after they had had a "rough patch" in their love journey that saw Stuart engaging in an affair with Louis Conde (Sean Teale).
Executive producer Laurie McCarthy pointed out that Stuart's feelings for Conde are more inclined to loyalty than true love. McCarthy also asserted that the affair was a way through which Stuart could evade the feeling of "regret, remorse and pain" after getting mixed up with her feelings for Francis.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the showrunner said, "I think she feels like she turned to [Conde] at a moment when she needed somebody."
In a different interview with the same publication, McCarthy revealed that there will be some conspiracy at the court in season 3 which will involve Queen Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) - sexually in nature.
McCarthy indicated that season 3 will feature Elizabeth a bit latter in her role of complexity. Elizabeth is somehow older than Stuart, allowing for some sexually charged court intrigue.
"Reign" season 3 debuts on Oct. 9, Friday on the CW.
