"The Mindy Project" season 4 episode 2 has hit Hulu on Sept. 22, Tuesday. The episode showed the arrival of Mindy and Danny's baby, who after much preparation, planning and arguments over the birth plan, decided to come unannounced in a subway.
The episode begins with Danny (Chriss Messina) and Mindy (Mindy Kaling) fretting over baby names while the former is ignoring the latter's arousal as he does not want his baby, who is probably minding his own business, being "smacked by a big penis in face."
Meanwhile Mindy is working on a project of freezing eggs called "Later Baby!" along with her friend Morgan (Ike Barinholtz). Danny overhears her gushing about the C-section when he starts lecturing her about natural birth.
Mindy gives Danny a tour of her hospital suite where she is planning to bring the baby through completely painless way. Danny disapproves, but Mindy cannot stop talking about the luxurious room.
Danny decides to somehow pop the baby out naturally much before the date on when Mindy is planning for the birth. In his efforts, he cooks spicy food and tries to initiate a sexual intercourse session when Mindy finds that book from where he picked up the tricks.
The two again start arguing over the perils of natural birth versus C-section when Mindy blasts Danny for tricking her body to give birth before the schedule.
Morgan and Mindy are in a subway when nurse Beverly (Beth Grant) refused to give her seat to the pregnant one saying that "how do you know I am not pregnant?" While her water breaks, Mindy is still hopeful that she will deliver only and only through C-section.
Mindy's hopes are trashed when a mid-wife gay pair happens to be present on the spot who offer Mindy to help her give birth. Danny dashes through subway tunnel when he comes to know that the baby is coming and joins her in the ordeal.
Mindy and Danny are gushing over their little one in the hospital when they are joined by hysterically emotional Morgan and their other friends.
