Latest news claimed that Moto DROID Turbo will receive Android M Marshmallow OS update in February 2016.

Previous reports claimed that Moto DROID Turbo will get the upcoming Android 6.0 in December. However, this may not be the case as the Moto Droid Turbo 2015 will reportedly arrive on Oct. 2 at Verizon.

This is only a few days after the official release of Android M Marshmallow on Sept. 29. This means that DROID Turbo 2 will be launched with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS in tow since Motorola has to receive the firmware then customized its own bloatware before rolling it out to its own smartphones.

Therefore, if Motorola will indeed roll out Android M Marshmallow OS update, the new Moto DROID Turbo 2 will be the first in line to get the update and its predecessor may get the software update early next year, although Motorola offered no confirmation for this yet.

Meanwhile, Moto DROID Turbo 2015, also dubbed as Moto X Force, release will arrive next month in the United States. The smartphone will be available exclusively at Verizon Wireless. A tipster from @upleaks claimed that the handset is confirmed to be released in United Kingdom and China.

Moto DROID Turbo 2015 features have not been announced yet, it is claimed that the handset will come with a 5.43-inch shatterproof display with 1440 by 2560 Quad HD resolution, octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and Adreno 430 chip, 3GB of RAM, and 3760mAh battery capacity. Other features of Moto DROID 2 are 21-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front facing cameras and 32GB and 64GB of internal storage.
