There are speculations that Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Motorola Pure X Edition and Moto X Play will be the first in line to receive the Android Marshmallow update.
Even though numerous Android users are still waiting for the Android Lollipop update, the upcoming Android Marshmallow is just around the corner. It is rumored to get an official release on Sept. 29, along with Google Nexus 5X, according to iDigital Times. Google is all set to hold a special press event on Sept. 29 announcing the new software and the next Google flagship device.
It is rumored that this upgrade will be released for the existing flagship Nexus devices starting on Oct. 5, according to Android Police. Apart from the devices in the Nexus family, many other devices will also receive this update within this year itself. Devices like Motorola Pure X Edition along with Motorola Moto X Play are most likely the first in the line after Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 to get this update.
Android Marshmallow is expected to be full of new features and improvements for the Android devices. It is expected to bring the feature of automatic backup, and the support for finger print scanner. It is also expected to get the support for the 4G LTE connectivity in the devices.
The feature of emergency calls will be more enhanced post upgrade. The option will appear as soon as the device senses any sort of trouble. It will also be GPS enabled and bring the list of the nearby emergency help centers. The new API level 23 will also be introduced in the devices. The Android Marshmallow update will also get the support for the Android Pay and the USB Type-C connection.
