Zack Snyder's upcoming DC Comics film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be enjoyed by the audience, even comic book haters, according to "The Social Network" actor Jesse Eisenberg.
Eisenberg will play the role of Lex Luthor in Snyder's forthcoming film. In his interview with We Got This Covered, Eisenberg said that while "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is a superhero film, people who do not usually watch the genre, such as comic book haters, will feasibly appreciate it. In addition, the film showcases cultured and vital themes. These themes include politics, as seen in the film trailers.
In the interview, Eisenberg also recognized the writer of the film, Chris Terrio, who he described as "absolutely phenomenal," "brilliant," and "so well read." The New York based writer is known for his work, including his drama film "Heights" and Ben Affleck's thriller drama "Argo." Aside from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," he is also set to pen the screenplay of the two-part DC film "Justice League."
According to Cinema Blend, comic book films have risen to be popular in the entertainment realm, with Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" set to become one of the highest grossing films in the entertainment industry. In order to make it happen, it should be ascertained that the film covers a wider scope of audience, whether a comic book lover or not.
Meanwhile, Eissenberg is known for his roles in David Fincher's "The Social Network," Ruben Fleischer's horror adventure film "Zombieland" and Louis Leterrier's crime thriller "Now You See Me." He is also set to appear in Jon M. Chu's "Now You See Me" sequel, "Now You See Me: The Second Act" and Woody Allen's untitled comedy film.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will serve as a catalyst to the rise of the superhero team Justice League. Along with Eisenberg, the film also stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, and Amy Adams, among others.
