"The Amazing Spider-Man" actor Andrew Garfield has shared his thoughts about the best part about playing Spider-Man.
In his interview with Uproxx to promote Ramin Bahrani's new drama "99 Homes," Garfield said that the two highlights of his entire "Spider-Man" experience were the two Comic-Cons that he had. For the actor, he loved such experience, as it made him feel the most genuine "Spider-Man" incarnation he could bring.
According to Cinema Blend, Garfield's appearance in Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con to express his utmost gratitude for his fans' support for him shocked the audience at the event, giving him a lot of press and benevolence. In his speech, Garfield also revealed that he was an avid Spider-Man fan, who was surprised to play the role of the iconic superhero and don his mask.
Following Tobey Maguire, who played the iconic superhero in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" film trilogy, Garfield has made his name as Spider-Man's second iteration in Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." He is also known for his roles in David Fincher's biopic "The Social Network" and Terry Gilliam's adventure mystery film "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus."
Garfield is also set to appear in Mel Gibson's upcoming drama film "Hacksaw Ridge" and Martin Scorsese's forthcoming historical drama film "Silence."
Meanwhile, "The Impossible" actor Tom Holland is set to play the iconic web-slinger in Jon Watts' "Spider-Man" film reboot. But before that, he will debut the character in Marvel's Cinematic Universe in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's forthcoming Marvel Comics film "Captain America: Civil War," which centers on the release of the Accords. It is released by the government to limit superheroes from using their powers.
Bahrani's "99 Homes" is slated to premiere on Sept. 25 while the Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is set to premiere on May 6, 2016. Meanwhile, Watts' "Spider-Man" film reboot is set to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
