'Persona 5' Update: New Party Member, 'Persona' Summons Revealed; Atlus Tease Multiple Villains, In-game Social Media Features! [VIDEO]

Persona 5 is an upcoming JRPG being developed by Atlus of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 console

"Persona 5" will intoriduce a new character, the names of the Persona summons, multiple villains and an in-game social media features.

Atlus announced a new character joining the Phantom Thieves in "Persona 5" and his name is Yusuke Kitagawa. Yusuke has already been featured in two game trailers for "Persona 5" before Atlus announce his name. He wears an all white and black attire with fox mask and he is described as an honor student taking on art courses at Kosei Public School. He is currently an apprentice of a famous Japanese painter named Madarame.

Like the protagnist and his friends, Yusuke will also access to his "Persona" and will likely join them sometome within the game's story as they seek out "corrupt adults" and steal their hearts in order to change the world from darkness.

Aside from the new character, Atlus also revealed the names of the "Persona" summons of each character. The game's protagonist will have Arsene, while Ryuji will have Captain Kid, a pirate like ghost. Anne will have Carmen, an elegant looking Persona wearing a pink flowing rose dress with two butlers that have hearts for heads, while the talking cat Morgana will have Zoro, a swordsman based on the legendary Mexican hero. Yusuke's persona is a Goemon and his appearance is similar to that of Japanese painter, Destructoid reported.

Atlus added new game features for "Persona 5" as gamers will use phone apps and in-game social media to locate there targets in "The Palace". The Phantom Thieves will not only tackle just one enemy, but multiple villains within the game.

"Persona 5's" theme will tackle different social reforms based on real-life issues similar to previous titles. The Protaginist and his friends must capture their targets and confess their crimes and retrieved the stolen hearts, International Business Times reported.

Atlus recently announce that "Persona 5's" launch date will be moved in 2016 during the Tokyo Game Show event. Game director Katsuhiro Hashino stated that the delay was necessary to have more time perfecting "Persona 5" for the gaming fans as he wanted to make it enjoyable and impressive as possible before its intended launch next year.

"Persona 5" will launch in summer 2016 in Japan and sometime in 2016 in the United States for the PlayStation 4 and 3 consoles.
