South Korean tech giant LG Electronics launched its G4 smartphone back in April, and is now preparing to launch the new successor, the LG G5, sometime by the fourth quarter of this year.

Rumors claim the LG G5 handset is expected to arrive in the market sometime in November or December, giving would-be owners the chance to buy the phone at around US$900 before the holidays kick off.

Specs-wise, the LG G5 is rumored to sport a 5.6-inch display screen with a 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution (4K). It will have a sharp 20 mega pixel camera on the back, according to GSM Arena, along with a powerful 10 mega pixel shooter on the front. The front camera is expected to feature iris scanning technology for advanced security.

Under the hood, the LG G5 is rumored to pack Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 processor, along with 3GB of RAM and a massive 4000 mAh battery.

As for the internal memory, the South Korean company could offer would-be users three different versions with three different memory capacities; a 32GB option, a 64GB option and a whopping 128GB model. As for the design, the LG G5 could come with an all-metal and slim body design, Tech Radar reported.

Other rumored features the LG G5 will come with include an improved Touch ID technology and multiple gesture detection capability.

In the meantime, LG is planning to bring its latest laptop product in the U.S. market. Called the LG Gram Ultra, the new laptop runs on Microsoft's latest Windows 10 operating system (OS), and weighs about only 980 grams, which is less than a kilogram, and costs about US$899.

In addition, the much awaited LG Nexus 5X is also expected to launch before the end of this month, after passing through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) last Friday.
