Google Nexus 5 2015 release will reportedly happen in October. A Korean source claimed that LG Electronics will pack a fingerprint sensor in the upcoming Nexus smartphone to maximize the features of Android M.
According to Korea Herald, the upcoming LG-made Nexus 5 2015 will be the first Nexus smartphone to feature fingerprint recognition technology and it will work hand-in-hand with Google's latest Android M operating system.
The prime motivation for packing a fingerprint scanner is the new features that are supported by Android M. The new operating system gives support Google's own mobile payment system dubbed as Android Pay that is using biometrics for added security.
Moreover, LG will make the Nexus 5 2015 as a test subject before bringing the fingerprint sensor in its own smartphone line. If the fingerprint scanner goes well in the Nexus handset, consumers can expect LG G5 to pack the same feature.
