A highly-anticipated 2015-2016 Bundesliga season matchup between defending champions Bayern Munich (7-0-0, 21 points) and top contender Borussia Dortmund (5-0-2, 17 points) is set to happen on Sunday, October 4 at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

After seven games into the season, the Bavarians are still flawless as strikers Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller continues to dominate opponents at the offensive end.

The 27-year-old Lewandowski is a cut above the rest at the moment, scoring 10 goals in six appearances so far in the season. He scored five goals within nine minutes in Die Bayern's 5-1 romp of Wolfsburg on September 22 and had two more in their last win versus Mainz, 3-0, at the Coface Arena last Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's squad overcame Die Nullfünfer's reputation of being a Bayern nemesis after Martin Schmidt's boys held FCB scoreless in the first half, as per ESPN.

Meanwhile, Die Borussen is somewhat struggling at the moment, settling for draws in their last two games against unheralded opponents.

Their last match was a 2-2 tie with newly-promoted club Darmstadt 98 at the Signal Iduna Park last Sunday, via Goal.

Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's brace was not enough to tide BVB for a win as Die Lilien's team captain Aytaç Sulu managed to equalize the count right at the 90th minute to salvage a point for Darmstadt.

Thomas Tuchel's men are looking to bounce back from their slight setbacks, but Guardiola's wards are firing on all cylinders right now which makes them highly difficult to beat.

Prediction: Bayern Munich beats Borussia Dortmund, 5-3. A high-scoring match but Lewandowski and company will prevail.

Bayern Munich starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Neuer; Lahm, Martinez, Alaba, Rafinha; Alonso, Thiago; Coman, Müller, Costa; Lewandowski

Borussia Dortmund starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Burki; Ginter, Papastathopoulos, Hummels, Schmelzer; Gundogan, Weigl; Reus, Kagawa, Mkhitaryan; Aubameyang
