Uncharted is an action-adventure third-person shooter platform video game series developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation consoles.

"Uncharted" game developer the Naughty Dog thoughtfully considered the Golden Abyss inclusion in the collection.  It does not tie up with the trilogy, "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection," which is slated to be released next month.

"Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" is a package of three of the best games released by the franchise.  Hardcore fans, however, found the collection incomplete without the Vita release "Uncharted: Golden Abyss" as well as its PS3 platform releases.

"Uncharted" community strategist, Arne Meyer, said, "Uncharted: Golden Abyss" is very far outside the narrative arc of the trilogy.  "It was definitely under consideration, because we were trying to see how we could collect all of the Uncharted games, but when we went back and looked at what we were trying to do with the Nathan Drake Collection, we realized that those three games - the trilogy - actually provided a particular narrative arc that led into Uncharted 4. We wanted to keep that as a holistic collection for that reason, and Golden Abyss kind of lives a little bit outside of that," Power Up Gaming reported.

"Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" trailer was actually created for this special collection, where a lot of twists, turns, and tons of action. The most exciting part of the trailer was when it ended, where it was confirmed that the "Uncharted 4" multiplayer beta will go live from on Dec. 4 to 13, iDigital Times reported.

"Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection"' will hit the shelves on Oct. 9 for the PS4.
