Tom Cruise just sold his compound, allegedly used as a scientology retreat center, for $11.4 million, which is $1.6 million under its original asking price, $13 million. The actor reportedly sold the property at a loss, since he bought it for approximately $9.85 million back in 2005, not including what he paid for home improvements.

According to Variety, Cruise bought the 2.5 acre property to become a "semi-secret retreat for high-level Scientologists." It was said that his sister was living in the mansion before he decided to sell it.

The outlet noted that the "Mission: Impossible" star has been selling multiple properties lately. He recently sold his 298-acre ranch in Colorado and 2,200 sq. ft. apartment in New York for $59 million and $3 million, respectively.

In other news, Hollywood Take reported that his ex-wife Katie Holmes has been asking for more financial support for their daughter Suri. When they got divorced, the actress got full custody of the 9-year-old and $400,000 a year in child support from Cruise. He was also asked to provide for tuition fees, as well as health and dental expenses.

An insider told the publication that Holmes perceived that Suri was not getting enough financial assistance from his father. With Cruise's $470 million net worth, she allegedly believed that he could definitely shell out more money for his daughter.

Compared to Holmes' $25 million net worth, the actress was reportedly worried that she may not be able to support Suri's "expensive hobbies." It was said that Holmes is not afraid to take this issue to court in the event he refuses to shell out money for their daughter.
