Known for playing Rose in "Titanic" opposite Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack, Kate Winslet is set to appear in "Steve Jobs." She was recently at the Toronto Film Festival, where she talked about the biopic about the late former Apple CEO while promoting another film "The Dressmaker."

Winslet plays Macintosh team and NeXT team member Joanna Hoffman in "Steve Jobs," which was written by Aaron Sorkin. According to Winslet,Sorkin "decided that there was no interest for him in writing" the film as a "critically acclaimed biopic."

Recently, Sorkin apologized after his negative response to Apple CEO Tim Cook's comment that those who are making films about the late former Apple CEO Steve Jobs are being "opportunistic."

"If you've got a factory full of children in China assembling phones for 17 cents an hour, you've got a lot of nerve calling someone else opportunistic," Sorkins had said during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter during a press junket roundtable for "Steve Jobs" in London.

According to Sorkins, nobody did the "Steve Jobs" biopic to get rich. He said, "Tim Cook should really see the movie before he decides what it is."

Set to be released in the United States on Oct. 9, "Steve Jobs" was directed by Danny Boyle was written by Sorkin based on Walter Isaacson's book. It stars "X-Men: Apocalypse" star Michael Fassbender playing the title role.
