Tekken 7 is a 3D fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment the ninth installment in the Tekken game series.

Console gamers have been waiting for quite some time for the release of "Tekken 7" and there are rumors that the date will be revealed during the 2015 Tokyo Game Show. Unfortunately, no details were released during the Bandai Namco presentation at the event which means that console gamers will have to wait a little longer for the game to arrive on the platform.

According to IGN, aside from "Tekken 7" there are notable video game titles that were missing in the 2015 Tokyo Game Show like "The Last Guardian," "Kingdom Hearts 3," and "Scalebound."

"Tekken 7" producer Katsuhiro Harada took the stage during the event but instead of providing details about "Tekken 7," the executive presented some of the publisher's upcoming titles such as "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," "Digimon World: Next Order," "God Eater: Resurrection," and "Disney Infinity 3.0."

Harada have already confirmed that "Tekken 7" will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. However, information about the official release date has been very scarce. There are rumors claiming that the delay might be due to the fact that Bandai Namco is developing a PC port of the game.

New rumors claimed that the game might finally hit the console platform early in 2016. No exact timeline was presented but ardent fans of the game are expecting that it should hit stores within the first quarter of 2016.

According to Gamespot, "Tekken 7" was released in Japan in February and the game's arcade version has already reached the United States where it was showcased in various video game competitions, most notable of which is the 2015 EVO Tournament held in Las Vegas in July.
