LG unveiled the highly anticipated LG V10 super-premium smartphone.

South Korean tech giant LG Electronics finally took the wraps off the new flagship phone called LG V10. The new smartphone is billed by the company as part of a new super-premium series and will be released on the top-tiered segment of the smartphone market.

The rumored super-premium device from LG came into the consciousness of the tech community way before the launch of the LG G4 in March. The LG V10 will be the first device to be released on the V series of smartphones. LG promises that this new series will give users a rich multimedia experience compared to what is currently available in the smartphone market.

LG is pushing the boundaries of smartphone innovation by introducing new features into the LG V10 like the Second Screen feature and the manual video recording mode.

According to Gizmodo, the LG V10 sports a 5.7-inch quantum main display with 2560x1440 resolution. The secondary screen measures 2.1-inch also with quantum display and a resolution of 160 x 1040.

At its heart is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset with a six-core processor and Andreno 418 graphics processing unit. The LG G4 also has the same Snapdragon chipset.

The LG V10 has 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and a 64GB storage space which is expandable up to 2TB via the microSD card slot. The support for expandable storage is a big bonus since most high-end devices nowadays have ditched this important feature.

The LG V10 has a fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It has a 16-megapixel rear facing camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. It also packs a 3000mAh removable battery. The smartphone will be available in five color variants; Opal Blue, Ocean Blue, Space Black, Luxe White and Modern Beige.

According to Android Authority, the LG V10 will be launched before the end of 2015. LG has yet to reveal the official pricing of the smartphone.
