Apple iPhone 6s, 6s Plus A9 Processor is 50% faster than A8 Processor

The tech giant Apple has revealed iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s with new 3D touch screen. Both the smartphones are powered by the A9 64-bit processor.

According to GeekBench, Apple's custom A9 processor is about 50 percent faster than the A8 processor. The iPhone 6 Plus is powered by the A8 processor.

The processor carries a dual-core 1.8GHz CPU. The A9 processor got a single-core score of 2522 for both the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s. The Exynos 7420 processor got a single-core score of 1316 and the Snapdragon 805 processor achieved a single-core score of 1081. 

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is powered by Exynos 7420 processor, whereas Google Nexus 6 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, Venture Capital Post reported.

The iPhone 6 Plus received a single-core score of 1605 on GeekBench, AppleInsider reported. This indicates that the A9 processor is 57% faster than the A8 processor.

Furthermore, the iPhone 6s achieved a multi-core score of 4403 and the iPhone 6s Plus achieved a multi-core score of 4423. On the other hand, iPhone 6 Plus, got a multi-core score of 2876. This means that the A9 processor is 54% faster at multi-core operations.

It is important to note that the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s have 2GB of RAM. The iPhone 6 Plus, on the other hand, has only 1GB of RAM.

The results of GeekBench on the speed of the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s may tempt more people to buy the new smartphones.
