Dating app Tinder launches Super Like feature.

Dating app Tinder recently rolled out an update that allow its users to use the Super Like feature. The new feature was tested in Australia in September and now it is coming to all Tinder users.

The Super Like feature can be triggered by an upward swipe. If a user uses the Super Like feature, the receiving user will see them instantly. The receiving person can ignore the sender by swiping left or begin the exchange of messages by swiping right.

According to The Verge, the Super Like feature can only be used once a day and this increases the potential of finding the perfect partner. On the other hand, premium Tinder users can user the Super Like feature up to five times on a single day.

During the beta phase of the Super Like feature in Australia, it appears that users who use the feature have three times the likelihood of finding a match. Additionally, conversations engaged after using the feature are 70 percent longer compared to regular conversations. Tinder did not release the official average length users spend on each conversation on the app.

Despite the lack of official statistics about conversation length, Tinder executives are pushing the use of Super Like which appears to convince users into upgrade into the app's premium product which is Tinder Plus.

Tinder chief executive officer Sean Rad told Tech Crunch, "We've seen Super Like have a meaningful impact on Tinder Plus conversion. And that stems out of the value that people are getting from the Super Like."
