‘Spectre’ Actor Daniel Craig Confirms Reprising His Role As James Bond

Daniel Craig will play James Bond in Sam Mendes' "Spectre."

"Spectre" actor Daniel Craig is set to reprise his role as James Bond.

In his interview with The Daily Mail, Craig admitted that he had already signed in on his fifth film as the iconic super spy 007; however, he added that he was not going to make predictions. The actor also said that while his acting career had been getting more difficult and so was life, he would keep going as long as he had the strength to do so.

Craig's statement suggested that while he had been contracted for another bond film, his future as super spy 007 is still dependent on the audience's feedback on Sam Mendes' upcoming "Spectre," in which he is set to play Bond's role, as per Cinema Blend. The publication added that Bond's nature had become dimmer since Martin Campbell's "Casino Royale" and Mendes' "Skyfall."

The "Spectre" actor also said in previous reports that he had a life and it was time for him to start living it, which suggests that he might take off his tuxedo and pass the role to someone else. At this point, Craig's latest statement negates his thoughts of leaving the role to another actor.

Prior to Craig's revelation, several actors have also been attached to play the role of the iconic spy. actor that Previous reports have revealed that "The Class of 92" actor David Beckham and "X-Men" actor Hugh Jackman have expressed their interest on playing super spy 007. Also, "Homeland" actor Damian Lewis and "Pacific Rim" actor Idris Elba were also rumored to play the said role.

Directed by Mendes, "Spectre" is slated hit theaters in the United States on Nov. 6.
