50 Cent On Bankruptcy: Rapper Reveals He Is Not Panicking

Rapper 50 Cent recently slammed "Empire" season 2 for receiving much lower ratings during their second episode last week.

According to Independent, 50 Cent reposted someone else's photo on Instagram that claimed "Empire" season 2 has received very low ratings because it has been focusing too much on gay themes.

"There are 3 million less viewers who tuned into last night's Empire episode!!! Did you watch it? We could not take the extra gay stuff or celebrity stuff last night!!!" the photo caption read.

After fans reacted negatively on his post, 50 Cent decided to delete it from the social media site.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that the rapper threw shade at the FOX series. This is because he is currently executive-producing "Empire's" biggest competition, "Power."

In the past, 50 Cent dubbed "Empire" as a show that audiences could watch for free because it's not as good as "Power," which fans need to pay for.

According to BET, 50 Cent tried to do some damage control after thousands of "Empire" fans slammed him nonstop on social media.

"Empire's ratings took a huge hit. Okay I'll stop now. Cookie call me baby. I'll tell everybody to watch the show for you," he concluded.

In other news, "Empire" creator Lee Daniels previously said that he was disappointed the gay storyline did not do well with audiences this season.

However, he said that since Jamal has been revealed to be gay, his character will continue to be depicted as such.

"Empire" season 2 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
