Mega star Justin Bieber is likely to perform in New York's Times Square on this New Year's Eve. He is said to be in talks for an appearance on Dick Clarke's "New Year Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest."

"Ryan Seacrest is putting together his list of people to perform for New Year's Eve and Justin will be doing the show," Hollywood Life quoted a source as saying, though, both Bieber and Seacrest have not commented anything in this regard yet.

Beliebers are also excited over a possible tour, which the "Baby" hit maker will undertake after the release of his next album "Purpose" on Nov. 13. Recent reports stated that the singer is likely to collaborate with close friend Ariana Grande for a massive worldwide tour that may turn out to be the top tour of 2016.

Although nothing has been finalized in the matter, it has been reported that both the artists are keen to make the tour happen where they can perform their solo hits and also team up together for several duets.

Meanwhile, the Canadian singer has slammed One Direction for choosing the same date for the release of their next album. He was speaking with New Zealand station, The Edge, when he declared that the British boy band were trying to steal his thunder by opting for the same date for their own fifth studio album, Daily Mail reported.

"So, that's probably why they did it. I think it was strategy on their part because my release date was first," said the 21-year-old to dig at the boy band.
